A few years ago a private co bought CBAI, a Cord Blood Bank....just typing this gives me a headache...
anyway CBAI was a public co, being the buyer didn't want the co, just the assets it drug on for years because of escrow/ liabilty clauses.
But to your point, the customer base had no choice but to start paying the new co, as I understood it they had no choice.
