Tampa--You write: "And, while I agree with Barge to the extent that we should attempt to describe all things that are possible for Wave to become, I would then recommend that we clearly separate fact from forward-looking disclaimer-like statements."

I agree we need to "....clearly separate fact from forward-looking disclaimer-like statements." And that is why I strongly objected to the implied "fact" that WAVE had somewhere along the line redefined itself as a Utility Software Provider. As you put it:

"Being one of the pioneers in the development of hardware-based security solutions, Wave has evolved from its early beginnings as a security and metering silicon chipset developer to become the leading provider of seamless, trusted-computing utilities."

You have demonstrated in your prior posts a very comprehensive and astute understanding of WAVE . Therefore I fully understood that your work-in-progress Introduction was intentionally circumscribed to subscribe to your conservative bent as it relates to presenting a speculative investment to prospective investors.

What irked me was the board's reaction to your post. Not one objection to the fact that you never mentioned Interoperability of Trusted Platforms. That is like describing Wright Brother Airlines back in 1903, and forgetting to mention that the funny look piece of machinery on the prospectus cover actually breaks gravity and FLIES under its own power. And yet your piece was about to be inscribed as the Gateway Introduction to WAVE for prospective investors. And so I blew a gasket.

Now this board has entered a new phase we might call: WAVE is best understood as an Attestation Company. Which is not really true, because Attestation is not really too significant from a Trusted Computing perspective unless it leads to INTEROPERABILITY.

Your most important post, by the way, no one replied to. That was the post where you introduced into the discussion, the Embassy OS. You write:

"7. The future is in the secure OS, and IMO, it will be Microsoft's secure OS in the end. Yes, Wave helped invent it, but so did HPQ. Yes, because of this Wave has gotten a seat at the table, and some assurances of success (probably) ~ owning the utility space, but in the end, it's Microsoft's OS that makes the orchestra, and it's the software embedded in their OS that will draw the most revenue in the end."

You nailed it with that pungent paragraph. Your conclusion is wrong; your understanding of the key challenges facing this company, though, are exactly on the mark.

I think that the Introduction should underscore WAVE's Revolutionary Technology that will enable INTEROPERABILITY and its mission to achieve Ubiquity by becoming the defacto Trusted OS for the Internet and the defacto platform for Trusted Web Services. I could write it, but it wouldn't be adopted, and I would be pelted with all types of debris, both human and man made.
