Yes, and don't know how much of it is related to resistance to change by entrenched interests that manage to put up roadblocks to change. For instance after a hospital system has just spent a ton of money on certain equipment it is hard to convince them that there is better technology. Of course in the case of drugs for treatment you would think the change could or should happen very quickly.
Like you say, they are still pushing fibrates even if after the FDA took away their blessing.
