I've seen all sorts of CEO's been accused of not performing their fiduciary duties, I've yet to see one fired or admonished for what they've done. I believe that their defense is simple, whether investors agree or not, it's simply that in their mind, with the concurrence of the BOD, they are doing what they deem best for the long term benefit of the company.

I'm sure that other CEO's would have done things differently, some may have succeeded faster, others may have gone belly up. I've not been an investor for nearly as long as many here, but from what I've gathered LP has taken the company safely through a few minefields and is about to achieve tremendous success.
