As for micro ring resonators/modulators, I think PhotonicsGuy has a good post on that. I’ll try to find it and bring it up.

RichardL has good insight into that as well since we’ve talked about it off Ihub.

My opinion is that LWLG’s materials could be added to that architecture to improve performance, just like we did with plasmonic modulators/Polariton.

Proto has described in the past that MRR’s are not energy efficient, large, more complex to package, etc.

I hope we see news some day soon that the LWLG material has been used in an MRR.

That would 100% solidify that the LWLG technology will indeed become ubiquitous and be used wherever data is processed with light.
