Faster chips equals more data and that data once crunched needs to be moved faster before it jambs up the pipelines. 15% is nice but 300% is slightly better.

They are trying to squeeze everything they can out of the materials out there. Silicon was first used as a semi conductor over 100 years ago it is found in the earths crust so anyone that wants it can get it, it is not a patentable material.

Lightwaves material is proprietary the Polymers can be custom made for a particular device and is only available from Lightwave Logic. When Lightwaves material is applied to a device it has demonstrated a 300% speed increase and cuts the power requirement in half. Power produces heat so todays devices require a lot of A.C. When the material is sensitive enough (Under 1 volt) the modulator can do its thing without a driver to boost its voltage. That is the Driverless modulator that light wave received a patent for this year.

To get back to your question increasing speed is good for Lightwave. All of the foundries will need Lightwaves Material. They will fall inline as soon as 1 foundry announces a deal with Lightwave Logic.

Common Sense, We Are At the Right Place at the Right Time with the Right Solution and had years to submit Numerous Patents to protect this space. The Big Guys will not let this get away though so we are in for some interesting times.
