I never said that there isn’t a license holder, but you are wrong if you think that the license is not tied to the facility and the process. I have no idea who submitted the application for manufacturing license. If as you suggest, it is Advent that will hold the Swanton license, I think NWBO shareholders deserve an explanation of how that benefits us.

Anders…..I’m just leaving it until we get confirmation of what we already know….two things can be held to account in the eyes of the law -

1) A human
2) A legal entity (and as you say that legal entity needs accountable officers, a VAT no and a company registration no)

Both can be held to account in the eyes if the law. Auditing a building and assets to make a vaccine without any employees is as rare as rocking horse poo….

Anders you are confusing many things to get to the conclusion you are stuck on. Advent is the facilities manager, and they are already qualified, which is a part of the process. They have a GMP certification for their OWN facility already, in London. That license does not however carry over to Sawston.

Contract manufacturing is a common thing. Turnkey factories are a common thing though in this case NWBO already has the facility. The facilities operator no doubt is a very important element of the certification process, it is just something that can be transferred with the right personnel and/or organization substituting, and Advent is basically providing the Human Resources and expertise in this context.

You are stuck on the idea that the two are inextricably linked, that much value from NWBO is somehow in Advent, and you seem not to understand the flexibility that contract manufacturing brings to a manufacturing operation. The flexibility is a critical point. And just as easily as it could be Advent, it could be Cognate, or CRL, or another contract manufacturer slotted in there. Getting the initial processes set-up, since Advent comes out of Cognate, there is no doubt it is probably the best option other than Cognate, but then after that, likely many other possible providers could be slotted in, or it can be set-up so that ultimately NWBO takes over the contracts of key employees, and gets qualified to operate its own plant.

None of this is brain surgery. It’s just common practice. And the PR’s do not suggest by any stretch of the imagination that anything is different here, nor are they necessarily likely to change the typical reality.
