That's a very likely scenario down the road.

I do not think so. NWBO already owns the means of production. They might want to hire the people and take over the production themselves, but there is no need to own a company doing production for other companies. Their capital is better spent on expanding markets for DCVax and expanding their own production at that stage.

Why would they extend their money helping other companies and getting paid a small margin for the labor? And it is not an investment company. Presumably the best use of their capital and if their past capital expenditure is getting DCVax to more and more patients. At that point, assuming success, it is just gravy at every level and easy money. But it still requires capital and they should not need to dilute further to accomplish that mission. So I do not think that would be a useful expenditure unless Advent stopped doing all other work and the “buyout” was just basically a payout to cease operations and absorb the Human Resources.

Autocorrect insists on capitalizing Human Resources.

Is it also possible that at some point in time, Northwest would want to acquire Advent?

I think much more likely would be Advent buying out the Sawston lease and any equipment in it owned by NWBO. With LP waiting on cGMP to trigger it.

That would be at least about $16M cash to NWBO and also remove the lease payments.

that would be a hood and a hat would it not?

First LP building and financing and promoting Advent through NWBO and then selling it back to NWBO?

Senti, if NWBO "purchases" Advent, just exactly what are they buying that they do not already own? Who would be the sellers? Would LP or Toucan be among them? Do we know what they paid for whatever it is they have in Advent? When and how did they buy it? Clearly, I am a bit of a skeptic and need to be shown why my concerns are not the case. I would like to be convinced by solid information with links, so that trust in LP et al can be strong at a time we need to maintain trust in management.

That's what I thought about Cognate. Even the name, Cognate, implies a shared meaning between to different languages ( or companies ). I doubt we'll ever know, but I wonder if the sale of Cognate was always in the cards, or just a result of circumstances as the years rolled on towards the eventual (hopefully) conclusion of the DCVAX-L trial.

Wish I had thought of that. Lol
