Everyone, myself included, wants a huge settlement. But, we should all keep in mind (again, myself included) that 5 billion is an awful lot of money. Will it hurt Google? Not even a twinge. Will it help NetList? Definitely. So, even if we get the low end of the range it's not a bad thing. It could be better, but it isn't bad.
