It can be a problem if institutions and companies keep results secret too long after trial completion.
It slows scientific information and therefore progress.
It keeps patients waiting on info.
It keeps investors in the dark.
In other words, secrecy at some point is trumped by science and understanding. I think it’s too bad the rule is not enforced. Humankind suffers.
