corporal punishment was allowed......

Years ago, a discipline issue arose between my brother and his fourth grade teacher. He told her flat out, "You can't hit me. My father is president of the school board." (Dad was president for several years)

At the end of the school day, the school bus rolls up to our driveway at the farm. Waiting there for my brother, was the president of the school board and in his hand was a board of education.

Discipline issue resolved.
