You can't trade OTC stocks on margin, but you can trade OTC stocks with a margin account, no wait for funds to clear after a trade

That is not what I was talking about. You can not use a margin account to borrow shares on the OTC. Now days funds clear faster, 1/2 days, depending on how long you hold them.

If I'm wrong someone tell me. But that is my understanding.

Yes. I noticed others already answered. I know you can't trade OTC and use margin, but a margin account allows the funds to be there immediate after liquidating your stock.
