No obligation? Maybe so. But he also had no authority to change the waterfall and the percentages of windfall from a settlement or win.

I did not say he "needs to"... I just said that "If he wants to...."

Two different things. He's welcome to do what he wants until legally compelled to to otherwise.

If it was me in his shoes, I would have had some communication with shareholders over the last few years... People invested a lot of money in this and believed in him. If I'm in that position, I HATE the idea that people may think I am letting them down and I would at least make a minimal effort to dispel that notion. I may not give every detail, but I am certainly making at least one statement... especially when the case is settled.

I disagree that he has zero obligation to anyone. If he is getting funds that are shareholder funds... he has the obligation to give them to us.
