No one knows when/if a paper has been submitted unless they are on the inside. It’s a very private process for journals that publish oncology trials as we found out previously.
All major journals like the Lancet and NEJM can fast track times from submission to publication. This can shorten the time to one month in some cases.
There is no question whether or not this paper, regardless if the trial was successful or not, would be able to qualify for fast track for multiple reasons in a journal. IMO
Other Journals, like Neuro-Oncology, would give an article like the one anticipated presently, very high priority and probably timing flexibility. Despite its specialty, it still has an impact factor over 10. IMO.
Despite the obscurity of NWBO, this is one of the most anticipated oncology clinical trial results.
