The research at UCLA with the combination therapy has multiple grants and the SPORE grant is largely due to the research using DCVax. NIH is a partial inventor of some DCVax patents because of the grants they provided. Plus it has the innovative medicine designation in the UK and the other special designation in Germany, the Hospital Exemption, even if the designation is problematic as a protectionist German rule that doesn’t really help foreign firms.
