Not sure about all that, but I bet we see a bunch of 2007 Year of the Boar, items in San Francisco at the end of Feb...I think it was just a politically correct approach by the Chinese government...The tradition of naming the years after certain animals goes back a long ways..I doubt if they will discontinue it any time soon..lol

Almost two billion Chinese people will herald the 'Year of the Pig', which is considered an exceptionally lucky year to have children. Many couples will attempt give birth during the year, which may even lead to a jump in demographics. Historically, the year of the pig has the largest birth rate of all the 12 years of the lunar cycle. 2007 is an especially auspicious year, as it is the year of the 'golden pig', which only comes along every 60 years. A boom is expected in the e-commerce industry as internet-savvy parents, likely to be between the age of 25 to 35, will seek out women and children-related products. According to one of China's largest online shopping centers RedBaby.com, a 30 percent increase in business is a possibility.
