It could mean that.

The way I read it is that the vaccine addresses a specific type of COVID while leaving the backdoor open for variants/mutations to occur. I don't think it was supposed to read like the vaccine is actually causing further mutations.

But who knows? I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV. Hell, the wife won't let me play doctor in the bedroom! LMAO
