I meant that if you sell at 150 to company X, Company X will likely double or triple if drugs are successful. so you would still make that multiple as well if you decide to hold.


If it were as simple as that, then we all could become multi millionaires very quickly. X, 2X, 6X, 12X 36X etc. Ideally we can find such stocks and never look behind.

If the company that bought AVXL was a much larger company then the effect of AVXL's pipeline would be diluted by the overall size of the acquiring company.

So even if you rolled all of the buy out money into the acquiring company you wouldn't get the multiples that you would get is AVXL stayed independent.

I’ll take staying independent over 150 ea ANY day

The multiples are ludicrous here.
