Stoxjock....what sheila was advocating was that bank holding companies enact a "living will" in the event of probable chapter bk filings , or takeovers by the FDIC....such sudden takeovers of banks, before the holding companies have a chance to dispose of assets throws chaos in the system where the governments have to provide bailouts, which she is against... in the case of WAMU, the FDIC seized the bank before the holding company had any chance to react, and thus could not get fair value for their assets , because they were seized and given to JP Morgan to liquidate....nothing about WAMU in her testimony before the banking committee reform bill....
