I beleive that the # represents the # of accounts held outside
of a brokerage account pls the # of brokers that hold stock
in accounts.

How many of the 419? Not sure but seems the clearing agent would have the numbers of account held by brokerage houses. Example, if Ameritrade has fifty accounts holding AMEP, then fifty proxys would be sent to them for mailing to the stock holders. Anyone else?
