Samurai Programmer.... great synopsis on options trading... my sentiment too, that 35 dollars strike seems to be the pivot point on coop stock until january 2022...lots of good stuff happening about this stock, like todays news, short position clearing, possible consolidated earnings disclosure, and even those 31 qtrs. of interest bandied about on the board... while it is inconclusive as to why these open positions occur every month about a certain strike price, we can assume it is ultimately about money, or stock positions...my purpose, or strategy in options is to seek out the disparity between the price of the stock, and the premiums offered around the strike price.. sometimes the MM get it wrong, as I have found out many times and mis price these option premiums... I seem to recall a few months back where they were offering 5 dollars or so, to buy the 50 dollar strike in January 2023... I sold those calls, and have since closed them out... same as with the 55 dollar strike for jan. 2023.. they were offering huge premiums to buy those calls.. they have since diminished in value...this happened around the time of the Gamestop short squeeze, and all option bids were rising... thanks again for your response, it was insightful and very helpful to add to my understanding of why people buy and sell options....
