LQMT's current formula (106C) on their website is NOT part of CIP. This means Apple does NOT have free access to it. What Apple does have is free access to the LQMT Trademark.

As I remember, per the Crucible agreement, Apple contributes R&D and new IP all along, and LQMT gets to use that for royalties outside of consumer electronics.

This way LQMT doesn't have to retain and pay for a research staff.

Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong, or this is no longer the case.
