I wonder why the FDA did not disapprove Aduhelm as a "treatment" but allow its use under a "compassionate use" (or equivalent) designation? This way the FDA would have been able to keep the approval process for treatments pure, and allow drugs that may help reduce suffering to be used on special and serious cases with no claim of treatment.

I do not think that DCVax-L will be in this situation. However, if the underlying dendritic cell technology is very effective for solid cancers, I wonder if the DCVax-Direct could have "compassionate use" designation prior to having the final PIII submitted? I know, likely a very long shot....
