I'd suggest index funds. Much of my stock money has been in SPY and similar for decades. My kids, including my CPA son, have been in index funds almost since they were born.

I don't utilize options but I imagine you were ruthlessly staunching an apparent loss. Good move, DJ. Keeping losses small and letting the winners run!
