Agree, a great place to be.

Yet FUNN and Morning blew it with KTU, shut down offices, outsourced employees, essentially back-burnered the entire publishing side of the business, and now appear to be happy with $10-$50k in pre-sales for a new game.

Guess shareholders should be jumping for joy at the "success"? I hope FUNN isn't sinking shareholder money into Morning.

Tabletop games is by far the most popular category of projects on Kickstarter. Crowdfunding is making it possible for more games to be published more frequently by new game designers. There is less risk to the publisher because they've already sold the games before they are made.

Over 4,000 table top games on kickstarter just last year. In 2010 there were less than 50. I'd say board games are hot and we're deep into them ! Great place to be.
