Niz...VERY doubtful IMO. The company told me that the manufacturing OEM has absolutely no branding presence, and Hitachi is a very recognizable name. More likely that Hitachi is suppplying the hard drives to our licensing OEM for use in the device being branded by whomever.

Niz-No, if we are in the Dell player, Hitachi is just the supplier of the drives, imo. I think the OEM would be a company like Wistron, as Sentinel, Murgirl, Tenderloin and others here have indicated. It has been told to some that the OEM for e.Digital doesn't brand their own branded items, therefore Hitachi would not be the OEM, just a supplier of the 1.8" drives.
