The regulators officially allow shorting, but rule out naked shorts. If in reality this occurred, there would be no problem. The reality is, there are places in the world that permit naked shorting and business will go there if brokers here won't cooperate with those wishing to do it.

Personally I wish we could go back to the days when people only invested in companies in the belief that they'd be worth more in the future than they are today. Sadly that's not the way of the world and some of the greatest profits were made by hedge fund managers working to bring companies down.

I feel blessed by having bought in at under a quarter, it probably only occurred because of the actions of shorts many years ago. That said, I believe that those who were hurt, but believed in the company, will be way ahead in the end as well, as they'll have purchased many additional shares cheaply in averaging down.

I believe the majority here are currently profitable, or nearly profitable, so as the company grows to the levels we anticipate, all will be highly profitable if they seriously invested in the company.
