I remember a figure being posted but as I recall, it never reached any significant amount (which I would equate to at least greater than 1% of the float or 1 day’s average volume to cover)
More recently there was a mention of shorts vanishing when the ASK gets slapped enough to get things really hot
But that might have been in a different context :-)
The tape today looked good again after yesterday’s meh
When the ASK moved down it got slapped pretty good
