It seems that they expect to have this thing up and running not too long from now. Hopefully their optimism isn't as badly placed as PTI's has been for the last many years. A super capacitor does make sense as an energy storage device in the automotive field.

This would mean the end of the necessity to use lead in the last place in any industry where it is used on a big scale.

A capacitor is an electrical device that can store energy in the electric field between a pair of closely-spaced conductors (called 'plates'). When voltage is applied to the capacitor, electric charges of equal magnitude, but opposite polarity, build up on each plate.

Technology marches on and even the mighty BJW can't stop it. Lead acid batteries, in any form, are doomed to the way of the dodo.
