"When I use firefox on other computers, I sync it through the account, it's exactly the same."

Yes, 'zactly what I do. Syncing used to be a stand-alone/add-on app and then FF integrated it into their platform. The downside was having to create that account...

I'm guessing, but I don't think having a linked Firefox account would help me to revert back to a previous version of Firefox (I would guess it would prevent it).

Or just go to folder and copy the files: C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\6a3mf67a.default-release-1605414475637

yes, that's the way I've always done it. however, if you now try and copy/paste all files into the profile folder, Firefox will not let you. (not sure which exact file is causing it).

Firefox will give you a warning that trying to open firefox with old profile could be detrimental to bookmarks or personal info etc etc (I wish I saved a screenshot). It simply will not open Firefox unless you create a new profile

So I had to copy only certain files (which are the following so far). Link at bottom tells you which file holds what data.
