In the interim, Judge Andrews, please allow me to raise a matter which, understanding that you are not duty-bound to consider, might result in an egregious and maybe even illegal consequence.
Absent more detailed investigation, it is quite possible that one of the parties in the matter before you has conducted himself in a way so as to defraud the shareholders of the company at the root of this action. The initial corporation has been dissolved and replaced by a shadow company without any due process to the original holders.
Would it be within your purview and jurisdiction to place the settlement funds into escrow pending the shareholders commencing that investigation?
Once the funds are disbursed, we fear our opportunity to be fairly compensated as shareholders will be lost.
