Why should anyone have to prove the existence of something there is NO RECORD OF??

Why not just hold out an open hand and say "See this magic egg I have in the palm of my hand?"

And when someone says "No, there's no way there's anything in your hand. There is NOTHING THERE", the person says, "Well, PROVE it isn't there!"

How can the existence of NOTHING be PROVEN????

Simple answer? It can't!
