Dr. Nissen is an academic physician,depending on grants for his status and his position...Being well known through his achievements helps him get grants and prestige academic appointments...Most academic physicians don't like it when they are proven wrong and, being anxious to preserve their reputation, they are hesitant to admit it...I believe this is the raison d'etre for Dr. Nissen and his views on omega 3's after his failed Strength study.
