Thanks for that info. Schwab also offers the same services but has nothing for IDCC from GS. This GS report must be separate from their regular rating service.

Take a look at the current disclosure list of "Institutional Holdings" for IDCC. My read leads me to believe that Goldman Sachs Group purchased more than 2 million shares of IDCC during 3Q 2006, which placed them second only to Heartland in ownership share.

We will not know what they did in 4th Qtr until that info is reported, but Goldman Sachs sure liked IDCC's business outlook as of Sept 30, 2006.

Makes sense to me that when an investment firm like Goldman Sachs finds something they like, they would buy for themselves first, share their favorable research with most favored paying clients next, AND THEN,....initiate the "for free" retail coverage that is made available to the general public. Let's watch and see what happens.
