and for the mamaDlo lady who keeps replying on twitter to everything medrecycler posts to defame it, she showed her true NIMBY colors on yesterdays posts by saying be a good neighbor and have them move to new jersey, so its clear shes not concerned about the benefits for the environment because its not about the technology because she obviously doesnt care how it would effect new jersey residents, shes just a selfish karen who doesnt want it near her

In the 3/15 public hearing it was mentioned multiple times that Rhode Island doesn't want to be the testing ground for this technology. They magnified it by saying find some other place to be a testing ground for this technology being run by a company that has zero experience in waste.

Base on the above I doubt they care two hoots about a feather in their cap - sounded to me like the risk was viewed far greater than the benefit.

It's really too bad that a greater marketing campaign wasn't issued to educate the masses. Can you imagine if SNPW would have recruited environmental groups to support the technology as it is safe and saves our world from landfills. And an air pollution advocate group to talk about the positive impact as there would be cleaner air - less pollution that incinerators, landfills etc. It sure would have made this battle a lot easier - at least I think so.

PS Why did they set up the Medi in a multi tenant building, with a school close by, near residential etc - why couldn't this facility have been, and maybe currently - put in a remote out of the way location.

My opinions.
