yeah my mom asked about Bitcoin a year ago I told her she was crazy.

I read all million articles on it. I am simply too dumb to get it.

Serious question for you: What don't you get?

I think they have dumbed it down a lot for us but I am still not getting it LOL
BTC has been around since 2009 as most folks know, even tho it didn't get much press until 2013.

Since then, there've been a million articles written about it, explaining how it works and how & why it might be useful.

As a Yank who has lived most of his adult life as an expat, I can tell you 2 things:

1. Americans who only live in America tend to accept the "it's only used for the dark web and money-laundering" theme.

2. Internationally, BTC appears to be MUCH more widely accepted as both REAL and USEFUL - there are many economies that suffer under arduous & outrageously expensive money-transfer controls.

Fwiw, I turned my Dad onto BTC 3 years ago after the 2017 runup/crash. He was fascinated by it, learned about it, and invested into it heavily early 2019 (GBTC and later added GDLC when it debuted). He added quite a bit going into 2020's halving. He's also owned RIOT & MARA but I believe he's scaled back on those positions.

He'll be 90 in June.

It’s not just the Bitcoin - it’s the stuff being created from it - like NFT’s.
What the hell’s a NFT!

Well at 90 I guess you could feel less risk with the WSB mantra - YOLO!
