If I ran a manufacturing company that specialized in a wild-west of high demand, all of my purchase order contracts would have back-end locks ensuring that A) purchasers were locked in and complicit w potential delays of up to a specific time window without recourse; and B) Complicit with liability to breaking my gag regarding ops.

I detest logical fallacies, and begging the question will rarely, if ever, lead one where they need to go. When it does, it highlights my day for sure.

Four Twenty happens twice a day, and only once per annual.

What???? Over the last 50 years , anyone familiar with service and supply contracts must know they include liability/performance exemptions for acts of God, war, catastrophes and governmental interruptions. Does anyone think that all or any of the Retailers, Energy, Transportation Cos or governmental agencies, etc filed suit against distributors or suppliers for contractual non compliance during covid lockdowns. The answer is simply of course not!!!!
