or all we know, many of the people posting on this board unwittingly hold mostly counterfeit shares.

Not the case if you bought your shares (and warrants) directly from NWBO on a PP.

I'm certainly no expert on this. The recent Game Stop experience seems to show that it's hedge funds that do have billion dollar resources that were caught off guard by Reddit and RobinHood. I really don't know if it's the case here at all, but if it is, I suspect a massive short squeeze will result, but anyone with shares in a legitimate brokerage will be covered. The losers will be those who created the illegal short.

I frankly believe the MM's do it in a manner that may be legal, but isn't intended to be the way they operate. I had stock in a company that went on one of the Russell funds. The day that occurred millions of shares traded after the close by MM's selling to Institution that needed to hold shares in the listed index. As I understand the MM's position they should have been gathering shares to meet that demand for some, and perhaps some of the demand was met that way. A large short position was established that day, and again, the MM's are fine in doing that. I believe that over time this short position should have been eliminated, but it wasn't, a multi-million share short position was maintained until the stock came off the Russell fund, I believe it may have been two years later, essentially the multi-million shares had been created and held for years rather than eliminating it by purchasing the shares which would raise the stock price. I don't know that it would have stayed on the Russell fund if that had been done, but it's a possibility.

From what I gathered, those who got involved with the Game Stop squeeze made a lot of money, and I think the company is now on stronger financial footing. There is no doubt that in 2008 hedge funds with their naked shorting brought down much of the economy. More restrictions may exist today, but illegal activity goes unpunished much of the time. Hopefully the actions of Reddit and Robin Hood will make it a fairer market, but as a small investor I believe we can only hope that we're investing on the same side as the large Institutional investors are that largely control the market.
