GILD was never acquired before or after it launched HIV med world-wide in the 1990s. We still hold all GILD shares resulting from our original purchase in June 1996; today we have a 8637% LTCG in an IRA, and the dividends have paid the cost of all our shares many times.

Many here likely were investment toddlers at the time.
