It is very possible with the timing that KKR sold COOP shares to help buy The Exchange. You've got to pick and chose your investments wisly, this seems like a win to me....for KKR of course.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KKR, a leading global investment firm, today announced that it has acquired The Exchange on 16th, a 750,000-square-foot Class A office complex, from Kilroy Realty Corporation for approximately $1 billion. Longfellow Real Estate Partners, a life science focused, vertically integrated real estate developer and manager, will work with KKR to operate the property. KKR is making the investment through its core plus real estate strategy.

Perhaps part of the down payment was the funds received from the sale of 3,700,000 Shares of COOP. It takes a sizable down payment to buy a 1 Billion dollar Property. This thought actually makes me feel better as The Exchange property and related business could lead to Billions in new commercial mortgages placed with COOP.
