I had only 1 share of stock AMPG. I placed one sell order at the bid. It didn't sell. (thats a whole other problem....not filling at the bid).

I can't remember if it didn't show an open order or not, but I placed a 2nd order for 1 share. Both orders executed.

I would have thought that I would be told I don't have the shares available to sell, or that it's a duplicate order, but no.

Both Schwab and now Vanguard will allow selling shares you don't own. Isn't that special? lol.

Again, I only had 1 original share of AMPG.
