But that ruling said no monetary compensation for shareholders. Don’t get surprised if we hear similar here, after keeping your hopes high on the SCOTUS.
The other courts rulings and prolonging of the case already disappointed.



AIG was essentially bankrupt. There was no compensation for shareholders because the judge ruled that 20% of something was better than 100% of nothing. The GSE's were bailed out preemptively; there is no guarantee that the shares would have had no value had the government not intervened.

I'm not saying we can't lose our court cases, but damages won't be assessed on the same logic used in AIG.
