European stock markets are broadly lower, after a largely weaker close in Asia overnight. The DAX I currently down -09.4%, the FTSE 100 -0.6%, with the correction in global bond yields doing little to cheer local markets. Wall Street had closed lower yesterday amid concern over the impact of rising yields on the overall outlook, but U.S. futures have started to stabilise and the tech heavy NASDAQ future is leading the way with a 0.6% gain. In Asia, the Topix managed to move up 0.2%, thanks to a shift in the BoJ's buying focus, buat at the same time, the Nikkei lost -1.4%. Hang Seng and CSI 300 corrected -1.4% and -2.6% respectively as U.S.-China talks got off to a shaky start. the ASX also corrected -0.6%. The front end WTI future meanwhile managed to come back from session lows and is currently trading USD 60.71 per barrel.
