Excellent point - If I were the Chief of marketing for AMRN I would be investigating that and seeing how to duplicate it - however - from what I recall there wasnt any meds prior to statins - I still remember the UK would send patients home from the ER while they were having an MI with two aspirin ...because there was nothing else you could do - enter a drug that could change that and BOOM !!

Vascepa is entering after a ton of treatments are available - not the same scenario

Lem ...Lipitor . Pfizer went on a huge marketing campaign involving very aggressive marketing to MD's.

When was the first trial that showed statins actually reduced MI's ?....They were first approved in 1987 for lowering LDL cholesterol but there was no Outcome data until several years later .
