"... lesson learned is, stop buying shitty stock,"

Or like I advise, stick with the NYSE and top tier Nasdaq. Most investors will do just fine by following a few simple, common sense rules. And do better yet, by trading less frequently.

BigBake1

Thanks for your reply!
I owned 1,471,956 shares of nwau in an account that I no longer used (I had a new broker), on May 12, I saw on Yahoo they went to 0.4 (+ 1000…%) and I wanted to sell . But they had canceled my shares. They were all gone. I immediately filed a complaint but it took 3 days before I got my shares back and I could sell.
I only got $ 42,000 back. (instead 0.4 = $ 588,782)
I went to the Belgian ombudsman, they said my broker should compensate me, but he refuses. My broker said Pershing removed my shares so it's not their fault.

If at a later date and in the unlikely event that transfer agent services are resumed for a security issue where the custodian has already destroyed certificates, DTC will make every effort to have the destroyed certificates replaced and return the position to the right participants.

Can you tell me where to find nwau on a list? so I know if pershing waited 90 days.
I have asked on several mb who's shares were canceled and no one had this problem.
I suspect if they had not immediately canceled then I still had my shares on May 12th so I could sell.

Thanks
