BSN, 2008/9 was our first investment in Anavex. We have Patrick Cox to thank for it.

Got in before the split in early 2015 and was in India, when I bought the first tranche. (Was taking turns with my brother doing 6 month stays while caring for my mother - did that a few times, before we got her to stay with us here in the US - do not want to get into the details, but getting her to the US was like a drama-filled suspense, when the airport designated doctor, just before boarding at around 1.00am in the morning, declared that she could not be permitted to fly looking at her condition - I would have done the same if I were a doctor)

Memories for life.

Been here steady since $.37 pre split. Feels like 10 years.

Wonder how many other OLD timers are lurking here from before the 4-1 split? Identify yourselves and take a bow!

Been here since pre-split. Happy to see today's pub.. Just the beginning of some great stuff to come...now we have to get the RSD girls choir on the air...

Not by much before the 4–1 was I burnin the candle late into the night and after the RS my gut sank and the knots grew tight but through it all I trusted my maker, the science, and the German Alzheimer’s trial “baker”.

This one has been the best ride of all and my heart continues to go out to all the families who are inline to soon see the symptomatic relief that blarcasamine will offer! God speed!

I want to be the guy who discovered AVXL in late '18 and bought my fill at $1.50.

Congrats to longs - data has been looking great - pipeline is fantastic looking.

Glad I saw that post from Drano a long time ago. Thanks

I remember sitting in car during lunch break buying AVXL for 21 cents in early 2015.

Remember JBEM who shared bunch of bio stocks?
I’m not as happy as I could because I reduced my position in half a year ago when SP was around $3. Lost patience.

Does any “old timers “ remember this deal that never materialized?
This when I first started accumulating AVXL! Been buying ever since. Now holding a pretty sizable position.

Started buying AVXL in April 2015 thanks to JBEM. First buy was .30. Made some money following him. I'm glad I read up on this recommendation. It's been/going to be a game changer in my life. Thanks to all that have kept me here through the down moments. Looking forward to the future here.

I didn't go back to check but I started investing late 2014 or early 2015.
I didn't get on the message board until 2016.
When I started and then when Anavex entered the MTA with Biogen I figured that the little 7 person company would certainly sell out or at least enter into a partnership with them. Oh how thankful that didn't happen.
I am an old person and established an estate plan for various good humanitarian type organizations i.e Tunnel to Towers, churches, University, Fraternity etc.
(I wouldn't mind having a few dollars for myself in the meantime. :) )

My initial purchase was on November 27, 2015 @ $5.70. Over the years, built up a 160,000 share core holding @ $4.00 avg. (reduced to $2.50 avg. after applying profits reaped from trading the heck out of AVXL since early 2019). Sold 120,000 shares in the $20 - $22 range during pre-market and in the morning it spiked up to $28+ on February 4th (re-couped entire cost basis and banked just over $2M in profits - all of which are long term capital gains with 50% of it in non-taxable accounts). Current core holding is 75,000 shares @ $5.83 avg. (includes 40,000 original core shares @ $0 cost basis + 35,000 new core shares @ $12.50 cost basis). Looking forward to the day AVXL hits a $3B market cap. As of right now, I'm not interested in selling any core shares until that milestone is achieved...

10 years ago? Wow. What did you see that long ago that clicked for you, or was it a simple throw of a dart? My first purchase was almost exactly 6 years ago. Those were heady times. Wonder how many other OLD timers are lurking here from before the 4-1 split? Identify yourselves and take a bow!

There are a number of followers here who have more than just a vested monetary interest in this company. It is very personal to us to see these diseases halted and hopefully reversed. I commend the posters on this board over the years, like Xena, who have been very open about their personal battles. I would give up all my pre-split shares to see an end to their suffering.

Extraordinary responses. 19 folks remembering and reminiscing(sp) about the last 5 to in some cases 15 years)

Thank you for all the responses. Today was an extraordinary day, a day to reflect and take stock. For many of us we are overwhelmed with the sheer plain luck to recognize this opportunity not a few years ago, or even for folks starting today.

Hard to imagine I have to wait 11 more hours for the market to open again.
Good night all, lets see what the rest of the week brings us, truly everything is on the table and nothing would shock me.

Spring 2015, heard about AD guys playing Chopin in the afternoon after just seeing a piano for the first time that morning...:-). I held for the RS, the run to 14 and got out for a while midway during the slow, painful avalanche down to 2~. Had modest profits, but jumped back in in earnest in 2018, taking a bunch in the 1-2 range. Very fortunate. Kept a core, but played in and out thru early 2020 with the rest. No trading how, just holding...
