I think there are many moving parts.
Prior to Du, Amarin's goal was to get on the lowest tier, period.
Their priorities may be different now. Think sacrifice bunt in baseball (give yourself up to move a runner in a scoring position).
Does Amarin still want V in tier 2, if that will mean that gV will also be in the same tier? Or perhaps they will sacrifice some Rx and agree to tier 3 if gV will be in tier 3, but the $150 coupon would make V affordable to many but squeeze gV out of existence (Generics can't use coupons).
My point is that it may be possible that Amarin's goal has changed to knocking gV out of the market, even if that means to sacrifice themselves.
Not saying this is true or not, just brainstorming.
