It’s important to remember that not all statins have side effects and are metabolized differently.

The art is finding the one that may complement you best.

My method - in order of potency and data

1. Atorvastatin, Rosuvastatin
2. Pravastatin
3. Pitavastatin

You can always “boost” their effects on LDL reduction with ezetimibe and some others but with less robust data on clinical event reduction.
