In the grand scheme of things, don't you think that all TG lowering medications should be dropped and Vascepa used for such?

I get that fibrates and Lovaza reduce TG somewhat better than V, but at what expense?

I don't know the number but I would guess that around 90% of those who take fibrates & Lovaza also have a CVD risk.

Fibrates & Lovaza do nothing (possibly even harm) to reduce CVD risk.

So if you can isolate a person to having VHTG and no CVD risk, then they should be on fibrates & Lovaza but those are so rare.

Vascepa for all.
