Great points. I’m really rooting for Vascepa to be the panacea that many of us hope it is. Also I think you’re right in that there are likely more effective acute treatments that can be applied to prostate cancer.
I think many of us hope that Vascepa turns out to treat cancer (or any condition) in a healthier way with less side effects. People often say about cancer that the “cure” causes new disease - this would not be the case with Vascepa. Who knows ? Maybe it can be used as an adjunct to chemo or radiation. I have no idea. But the Gilead NASH trials speak to that notion of using Vascepa as an adjunct to other medicines - much in the way it’s used as an adjunct to statins in the CVD indication.
It would be nice to see some things turnaround for Amarin that could bolster the share price. A lot of irons are in the fire right now.
